Installers appreciate Mirage for its consistent milling and precise fit. When boards are manufactured consistently, they fit together cleanly, helping the installer create tight seams and a more uniform finished floor.

But even a beautifully made hardwood floor is only as good as the surface beneath it. Before installation, the subfloor needs to be evaluated for flatness, stability and moisture conditions. High and low areas may need to be corrected so the flooring has a properly prepared, level surface. That preparation helps prevent movement, gaps and other problems—and lets the quality of the Mirage flooring show in the finished installation.
